Jimmy Carl Black became an icon for me and my cousins way back in the late sixites, in part because we are "Indians." Jimmy's rock musician status made us feel we were not invisible in an otherwise "black and white" music scene. Being an "Indian" often times means being invisible to the modern world. Jimmy Carl Black kept true to his love for song and music and that makes him a true American and international artist. Que Viva el Jimmy, the Indian in the group!
